Sav Lur Ner (/sav/ /lur/ [middle] [clerk]) is a temperate Town located in Smōntvöwōrtre̜lskek Parish, Bàze Logu Empire, within the Warrenese Shogunate.

The name Sav Lur Ner is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Sav Lur Ner was founded by Chisselu Crolnie, who was culturaly Wood Elven.

Climate

Sav Lur Ner has a yearly average temperature of 8°C (46°F), with its average temperature during the summer being an icy 26°C (78°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant -10°C (14°F). Sav Lur Ner receives an average of 304 cm/y (119 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the pleasantly short winter months. Sav Lur Ner covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 3292 m (10800 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Sav Lur Ner was founded durring the late 13th century in fall of the year 1197, by Chisselu Crolnie. The establishment of Sav Lur Ner was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Sav Lur Ner's construction back out of the project. Chisselu Crolnie pushed on reguardles, and Sav Lur Ner was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Sav Lur Ner was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Sav Lur Ner is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Sav Lur Ner is was constructed arround several premissive paverstone mainstreets which cross one another at certain axies, with smaller streets branching off of them to premit acess to the many buildings deeper into the road network. The overall fashion is remenessent of a circulatory system, or other organic construct, and is quite effishent in its design. The town is the proud owner of a properly designed set of renforced walls made from mighty querried stone blocks. Their construction and material choices would make a dwarf weap with joy, for each and every part of the elaborate fortifications are purly functional and robust well byond reason. Even nonexperts can tell the walls are an excelent defencive structure. Sav Lur Ner's exceptionaly well made fortifications are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

A look around Sav Lur Ner has something terribly wrong with it. It’s impossible to put one’s finger on, but something is horribly wrong. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scutteling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Sav Lur Ner possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

Sav Lur Ner has a first rate hospital which caters to anyone in need of long term medical care.

Sav Lur Ner has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Sav Lur Ner has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Sav Lur Ner's locals are divided into several castes. They may be organized by social role, by imputed nobility of birth, by ethnic origins, or any other dividing principle, but they cannot imagine any other way of organizing themselves. A hierarchy of castes is not inevitable, but there will be social and legal limits applied to ensure that each caste remains fixed in its function. The outside world may or may not respect these distinctions when dealing with the locals.

Sav Lur Ner's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used embraces individualism and experimentation. It emerged as a movement against traditional, classical styles and sought to make buildings dynamic and fun while breaking the rules. The style incorporated elements of previous architectural styles in exaggerated and whimsical ways. Traditional, conservative leanings were void in this era, with most scholars of architecture agreeing it was a time of “anything goes.”.

In Sav Lur Ner hail is always enormous, yet harmlessly plinks off people, creatures, and structures.

The Spider, Assassin (Giant) near Sav Lur Ner are known to be a mutant strain of the creature.

Sav Lur Ner's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves bloodletting to channel Summoning energies of tier 3 via proclamations.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century was ravaged by a deadly sickness. was the epicenter of the disaster, but Sav Lur Ner suffered the most. Sav Lur Ner lost 276 people, 373 livestock, and 79 buildings in the disaster.. The disaster is spoken of in hushed whispers as the Wrath of Torment.

History
